Handmade Japanese Grip Scissors
Handmade long-handle grip scissors are useful for sharply cutting through smaller materials and ingredients.
These U-shaped ‘scissors’ are said to have been designed before the more common X-shaped scissors that are used today. These are often used for cutting threads in sewing, but they have some more interesting purposes in Japan, such as cutting film in photography, candy craft, arrow making in archery, and so on.
The short blade is versatile in its function: lightly snip through ribbons and threads or easily clip your herbs. Whether they are for craft, gardening or general use around the house, these are a long-lasting and enjoyable tool to keep handy.
Small – blade length 30mm, total length 120mm
Medium - blade length 40mm, total length 105mm
Large – blade length 50mm, total length 120mm
